Overdraft Privilege Disclosure

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Action is required in order to receive coverage for ATM/POS (one-time debit card) transactions.

New rules governing overdraft programs went into effect on August 15, 2010. You are now required to opt-in if you wish to receive Overdraft Privilege coverage for ATM/POS (one-time debit card) transactions. However, TFCU will continue to pay your checks, automatic bill payments, and other types of transactions without opting-in.

What you need to know – Overdrafts, Overdraft Privilege Fees, and How to Opt-in

What happens in my account when an overdraft occurs? An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover the transaction, but we pay it anyway. We can cover your overdrafts in the following ways:

Automatic Overdraft Protection (Standard):

• Transfers from Regular Savings Account or Additional Account–You can elect to overdraft from your savings or other account by completing an Overdraft
Target/Sources Form, available at any branch. Money is transferred in $100 increments from these accounts to cover overdraft transactions. You will receive
six free transfers per month. Transfers in excess of six per month will result in a $5 fee per transaction.

• Visa Credit Card – You can utilize your Visa Credit Line to cover your overdrafts by completing an Overdraft Target/Sources Form, available at any branch.
This service requires you to complete a credit application. Your approval and credit limit will be based on your credit worthiness. Money is transferred in
$100 increments from these accounts to cover overdraft transactions. There is no fee for this transfer.

Overdraft Privilege (Opt-in required for full coverage):

• Overdraft Privilege – If you do not have available funds in the two sources listed above, TFCU can pay the transactions for a fee. You must opt-in for
coverage for ATM/POS (one-time debit card) transactions. However, TFCU will continue to pay your checks, automatic bill payments, and other types of
transactions without your signed consent. Overdraft Privilege does not guarantee payment of all transactions, and there is no limit on the total fees we can
charge for overdrawing your account. We assess Overdraft Fees at the time of presentment based on available balance. If we do not authorize the overdraft,
your transaction will be declined

Please note only one member checking account is eligible for Overdraft Privilege.
